With the new year still in its infancy, we have just completed our work on a large commercial units project based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
The project was awarded to M&T Midlands by GMI Construction Group back in March 2023 and work commenced a few weeks later in April. This was the first project completed for GMI and our professionalism on site has led to further project opportunities with this client.
The scope of work included the extensive groundworks and earthworks including cut and fill that effectively limited the amount of material being removed from site. In addition, to efficiently manage the removal of storm water from site, our team installed three large attenuation tanks that will safely dispose of the water into the drainage system without the risk of localised flooding.
Further work included the laying of the large concrete slabs inside the building and externally to the car park and access roads. Additionally, all soft landscaping and associated external works were completed before we handed back the site to the client.
