Managing the construction projects takes significant planning, careful control and management. To keep our teams on schedule and fully up to date on each project, we’ve been investing in technology that supports our activities both in the office and on site.
As the number of groundworks projects being worked on increases, our teams are now spread across much of the country. We identified that this could introduce daily site management headaches and maintaining control of how each job is progressing on site could become more difficult, leaving projects open to issues that could delay completion and risk expensive contract penalties.
To limit that risk, overcome potential problems and control the groundworks and civil engineering projects we are working on, we searched for, and identified, a third party software solution that is proven to assist construction companies keep contracts running seamlessly.
Having considered a number of solutions, we selected Fonn, an all in one online tool, that best suits our requirements and would enable us to simplify the management of projects. The software enables us to communicate more efficiently between the office and site teams using the portal as opposed to using time consuming emails, text and WhatsApp messages that can easily be missed. Additionally, the cloud based portal supports the effective sharing of drawings to ensure everyone is working on the most up to date versions and information, helping to eliminate inconsistencies.
The introduction of the software is all part of a drive to integrate technology into the M&T Midlands business and to support our groundworks projects management and help us to deliver contracts on time and to budget.
